Nasmyth FocusThe drawing shows the design of a Cassegrain telescope with a tertiary mirror that directs the light to either the Coudé or the Nasmyth focus. The same design can be used for a Ritchey-Chretien telescope, the only difference being that the primary mirror is hyperbolic instead of parabolic in shape. |
